Case Study 1
In 2004 we successfully tendered for a large fleet of 800 cars. At the time the end user was dealing with three different suppliers for contract hire, short term rental and personal contract solution for opt out drivers. Jointly we identified more continuity of service was required coupled with a cost effective route to managing the fleet and their drivers.
The solution offered was the Optifleet Car Scheme which now provides all the services above on a one stop shop basis. Drivers are directed to the Optifleet website for day to day requirements such as checking their personal tax position prior to ordering cars online and updating monthly business mileage records. This is fully managed by a dedicated team of Account Managers who are also on hand to offer help and advice to drivers. They are also provided with ‘vehicle reallocation’ making best use of existing vehicles to minimise the cost of short term hire and support the duty of care provision to the employees.
Case Study 2
Working with a company who run a fleet of 45 cars on Hire Purchase we established they were not happy with their current situation and were looking to make cost savings. We discussed different solutions and they eventually went ahead with Contract Hire with Maintenance. Going down this route they were able to accurately budget motor expenses for the duration of the contract and were benefiting from a reduced administration burden leaving the company resources to focus on their business.
Case Study 3
In 2003 we were in discussions with a 78 vehicle fleet, all their vehicles were outright purchased, they had identified the service and maintenance costs were not being managed effectively. After various meetings we agreed on a bespoke package providing fleet management.
